
Kelsey Vasicek, BS, LCDCIII, GAMB, is the Opiate Response Team Clinician for Alternative Paths in Medina County. She graduated from University of Toledo with her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Her career path with the justice involved led to working within the behavioral health community on the Forensic team since 2019. She obtained her Chemical Dependency Counselor III licenser and Gambling Endorsement. Kelsey’s role is divided between the individuals in the community who overdose as well as going into the local schools with the prevention team and those inside of the Medina County Jail; these two populations unfortunately often overlap. Kelsey provides resources for deflection, recovery groups, case management, and harm reduction education/tools. In 2024, she worked with the Medina County Drug Task Force to create a new harm reduction initiative for deflection, helping individuals seek treatment. Additionally, Kelsey was instrumental in the development of the Medina County Citizen Circle, providing reentry support for individuals reintegrating back into Medina County from prison, jail and residential treatment facilities.
