- Promote the creation of Public Safety led diversion programs such as QRT/Outreach teams throughout the state of Ohio and nationally.
- Develop and encourage the use of “Best Practices /Evidenced Based Models” in the implementation of these programs.
- Advocate at the local, state, and federal level for necessary legislation and sustainable funding for these programs.
- Facilitate greater coordination and networking between public safety led diversion programs.
- Raise public awareness to promote these programs and reduce the stigma of substance use and professional belief systems that inhibit their creation and implementation.
- Facilitate annual training and create a certification process for these programs
- Develop strategies to enhance community partnerships and evolve existing belief systems.
- Advocate and support greater integration and use of Peer Supports/Peer Recovery Coaches.
- Bring awareness, education and prevention to different areas throughout Ohio and the nation
- Establish standardize guidelines to enhance public safety response to the community’s safety needs
