• Promote the creation of Public Safety led diversion programs such as QRT/Outreach teams throughout the state of Ohio and nationally.
  • Develop and encourage the use of “Best Practices /Evidenced Based Models” in the implementation of these programs.
  • Advocate at the local, state, and federal level for necessary legislation and sustainable funding for these programs.
  • Facilitate greater coordination and networking between public safety led diversion programs.
  • Raise public awareness to promote these programs and reduce the stigma of substance use and professional belief systems that inhibit their creation and implementation.
  • Facilitate annual training and create a certification process for these programs
  • Develop strategies to enhance community partnerships and evolve existing belief systems.
  • Advocate and support greater integration and use of Peer Supports/Peer Recovery Coaches.
  • Bring awareness, education and prevention to different areas throughout Ohio and the nation
  • Establish standardize guidelines to enhance public safety response to the community’s safety needs
