SAFER Site Coordinator
Morgan Brown is the Site Coordinator for S.A.F.E.R. Station which stands for Safety, Acceptance, Focus, Engagement, and Resilience. Ms. Brown was raised in Fremont, Ohio before going off to the University of Toledo to receive her bachelor’s in social work. After graduating in 2016, she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she tested and passed the licensed social worker exam. Earning her LSW started her on her clinical path with a focus on community mental health and addiction where she became interested in understanding the intersection traumatic experiences to mental health and addiction. Morgan received her master’s degrees in social work from the University of Denver on the Mental Health and Trauma track. Morgan skillset has prepared her to supervise a multidisciplinary team, offering direct referral and transport to substance use treatment, peer support, post-detox case management, and access to harm reduction education and tools for individuals actively using drugs and at risk for overdose in Franklin County. She has been working in the deflection field since 2018.
