Rachel Canepa serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Ohio Deflection Association. She brings over a decade of experience spanning behavioral health, criminal justice, social work, and community collaboration.

Rachel earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Bowling Green State University, a master’s degree in criminal justice and social behavioral Problems from Wright State University, and a master’s degree in social work from Miami University.

Throughout her career, Rachel has worked in crisis services, community behavioral health, probation, and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, she served as Grant Project Coordinator for the Butler County Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Services Board, where she managed federal grant initiatives, supported cross-system partnerships, coordinated community coalitions, and helped advance prevention, treatment, recovery, and reentry efforts throughout the region.

Rachel is passionate about building connections between organizations, strengthening community-based support, and helping individuals and families access resources that promote recovery and well-being. She is committed to advancing collaborative approaches that improve outcomes for Ohio communities.


Outside of work, Rachel enjoys teaching yoga, spending time with her husband and three children, volunteering, reading, and supporting health and wellness initiatives in her community.
