The Tuscarawas County Quick Response Team (QRT) was formed in the Fall of 2017 in response to the increase in local opiate overdose deaths. Funding made available by the Office of the Ohio Attorney General made it possible Tuscarawas County first responders and addiction treatment professionals to form a partnership addressing the need for outreach to individuals who have experienced a non-fatal overdose. This outreach includes providing information on locally available treatment options, as well as help facilitating immediate access to withdrawal management treatment if necessary.
